Hi, I'm Angie!  

I'm a high school librarian by day and the owner/operator/cross-stitcher extraordinaire of Athens Stitchery by night...which is only *slightly* different from my childhood dream of being a drive thru bank teller by day and a Solid Gold dancer at night.

 I'm also a wife to a middle school administrator and mama to (almost) 20 year old identical twin girls and a 13 year old son. I have a love/hate relationship with running and just a flat out love relationship with reading and growing flowers on my deck.

Originally from Chicago, I now live in Athens, GA, which is also home to the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), R.E.M. and one of my favorite food combinations - fries and feta at The Grill. 

I began cross stitching as a child and returned to it intermittently throughout my life - from stitching on jeans and Converse as a teenager to completing a giant prayer quilt cross stitch when I was on bedrest while pregnant with my twins... When I found the Stitch People patterns, it was a match made in Heaven!  I love customizing patterns for my clients.  I love knowing that this art is going to be framed in their homes and passed down to future generations.  I always tell people how excited I am to make something for them and it's true - I love making each and every one of these portraits!
